Tyla Yaweh has returned with his first new release of 2021.

The soulful crooner tapped Morray for a new track titled “Hands Up,” which serves as the clearest sign yet that Yaweh is finally putting the finishing touches on his highly-anticipated project RAGER BØY. “Hands Up” is the first single to drop since “Back Outside” and 2020’s “Stuntin On You,” which featured DaBaby and was just certified Gold.

The new single has also been given the visual treatment, with a cinematic Arrad-directed music video finding Tyla in transit to a stash house with a bag full of cash. His plan is suddenly foiled when the FBI raid the property and arrest his love interest. As a chaotic riot ensues, Morray croons away his verse as fire engulfs his surroundings, as they stand up to rescue Yaweh’s girl.

The hard-hitting feature from Morray is the latest sign that Yaweh’s journey to stardom is being fully supported by some of hip hop’s A-listers. He achieved his first Billboard hit with 2020’s “Tommy Lee,” which featured Post Malone and at one point even got a special remix from the Mötley Crüe drummer himself. He also closed out that year with a Hitmaka-produced banger titled “All The Smoke,” which featured Gunna and Wiz Khalifa, and served as the theme song for NASCAR’s Daytona 500 this year.

While the release date for RAGER BØY remains a mystery, it is gearing up to be a massive moment for the Florida artist, who has teased the project since 2020. Let’s hope “Hands Up” leads to more clarification surrounding the album.
