Canadian Swifties are angry about Taylor Swift skipping the entire nation on her Eras Tour, including one politician.

Conservative Alberta MP Matt Jeneroux filed an official grievance" with Parliament that would aim to encourage the singer to announce tour dates in Canada.

โ€œIt has come to my attention that despite much anticipation, Taylor Swiftโ€™s Eras Tour has neglected to include any Canadian dates or locations as she released her international dates, which includes stops throughout Asia and Europe,โ€ Jeneroux wrote in a letter on June 21. โ€œSimilar to whatโ€™s being considered in Australia, I would like to file an official grievance within Parliament on behalf of all Swifties in Canada for her and her team to reconsider."

โ€œNot only is this leaving Canadian fans without the opportunity to see her tour, but it is also leaving Canada out of the economic opportunities her shows generate. It is estimated that these shows could generate $4.6 billion for local economies. Fans just donโ€™t simply attend concerts, they spend money at local businesses including hotels, restauants and shops."

Jeneroux posted the letter on Instagram and then took to Twitter to reveal that, while he didn't know how to file an official grievance, he mentioned the House of Commons to acknowledge that he believes he filed it.

I donโ€™t know how one files an official grievance in ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ Parliament, but @HoCChamber consider it filed. #cdnpoli #TaylorSwiftErasTour https://t.co/r4SB3hucC0

As usual, the Internet had lots to say about Jeneroux filing the grievance.

While some applauded the effort, others saw it more of a waste of time from members of government who should be focused on other things.

LOL Iโ€™ve been a Swift fan since she was 15 & only singing country. MPs get paid way too much to waste their time on such silly nonsense. /

Swifties, on the other hand, including other MPs, are ecstatic that someone is taking action.

Look at you @jeneroux standing up for Canadian #Swifties ๐Ÿ‘Š

Still, most saw right through the ploy and viewed it mainly as a way to get younger people's attention.

Conservatives really have interesting priorities.

Finally! The Taylor Swift question!

These people are multi millionaires deciding our collective national future.

Worse than that, cpc establishment shills will support it because "get da libs out!".

Canada is the village idiot of the western world.
