2023 Polaris Music Prize Shortlist Revealed: Daniel Caesar, Debby Friday, Snotty Nose Rez Kids, And More

The winner will be announced on July 13 and will take home a $50,000 prize.

Back in June, the Polaris Music Prize revealed its 40 album long list. Today, it revealed its shortlist, narrowing down the potential winners to 10.

The winner is selected by a jury made up of 205 members of Canadian music media and is decided by quality rather than popularity.

Among the shortlisted nominees are Daniel Caesar for his Never Enough album, Debby Friday for Good Luck, Snotty Nose Rez Kids for I'm Good, HBU?, Gayance for Mascarade and more.

The Polaris Music Prize gala will take place on September 19 at Massey Hall where a winner will be selected and given $50,000.
