Sometimes you can't predict whether a song will become a hit.

When Belly first wrote the lyrics to the song that would end up being "6 Inch," he never thought it would turn into one of the biggest songs from Beyoncé's Lemonade.

Belly spoke about having made certain songs that blew up more than he would have imagined. Then when he was asked which song, in particular, shocked him when it blew up, he responded with "6 Inch."

"That was my record," Belly said. "I had French [Montana] on that record featured. That was on the back burner. We weren't gonna put it out. We weren't gonna release it."

Then when John "Big John" Platt heard the demo, he took it off of Belly's hands and turned it into the hit single that The Weeknd would eventually feature on.

Since then, Belly's learned his lesson and tries to make sure any song he's worked on ends up in the right people's hands.

"Now, whatever we make, just put it over here, make sure the right people get it," he said. "You really never know."

Despite his collaboration with Beyoncé, Belly refused to answer whether or not he'd worked with her in person, though he did admit he'd hung out with Jay-Z a few times.

Belly released Mumble Rap 2 last Friday and has features from Rick Ross, Nav, and Gucci Mane.
