In celebration of the 25th anniversary of Canadian hip-hop group Rascalz’s game-changing song “Northern Touch,” a pop-up event named after the single will take place at the Northern Touch Vintage store in Toronto.
The pop-up event will take place on Saturday, Feb. 25, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the store located on Richmond Street in downtown Toronto.
MuchMusic alumnus Master T will host the event, which will see a guest appearance by Kardinal Offishall,
DJ Rxckz will be curating the music throughout the evening, which will focus on Canadian hip-hop and, will highlight the importance of “Northern Touch” and the influence its had on the scene since it dropped.
As well, limited-edition merchandise will be available for sale.
Kardinal Offishall has been keeping busy these days as he recently announced he’d be joining Def Jam as a Global A&R to scout talent internationally.
Last year, Complex Canada ranked “Northern Touch” no. 2 on “The 20 Greatest Canadian Rap Songs of All-Time” list.
