A seemingly old song by Drake and OVO Sound artist Partynextdoor called “Bricks” has leaked and made its way to YouTube.

While it can be hard to differentiate real from AI-generated songs these days, many signs indicate that the two likely made the song while Drake was preparing his More Life project.

One of the giveaways comes within the first minute of the track where the same Moodymann sample found on “Passionfruit” plays out.

The second hint lies in Drake’s verse where some of the lyrics sound like the prototype of his feature on Wizkid’s “Come Closer.”

“Too mix up in drama to go outside,” Drake sings on “Come Closer.”

“Too mix up in drama, save yourself, girl, don’t bother,” he sings on the leaked “Bricks.”

The leaked track is just over seven minutes long and sounds like it hasn’t been worked on in years, which makes sense given that different parts of the track were repurposed for future songs.

It’s also unclear if the song will eventually be taken down from YouTube.

Drake will hit the road this summer for his It’s All a Blur Tour with 21 Savage and will make multiple stops in Canada (without Savage) including a pair of homecoming shows in Toronto.
