Atlanta is a hotbed for the bass music scene, and a huge part of that is the influences that producers like Mayhem, Heroes x Villains, and others receive from the Atlanta rap scene. Southern rap has always had both feet deep in the banging 808 sound, and translating that sound into an EDM scene was not only a given, but one of those styles that many of us were just waiting to see come to the forefront. That said, it makes sense that someone flipped one of this year's anthems, Rich Homie Quan's "Type Of Way," into a proper banger. Mayhem didn't totally dismantle this track, but beefed it up and set it loose. Diplo knocked this one out on his Diplo & Friends show, and now Mayhem has unleashed this bit to the masses for free. Talk about turn up. Go ham to this.
