Employing a very cool split screen effect, Chicago MC's Mick Jenkins and Supa BWE's video for "Treat Me" touches on the very prevalent issue of racial discrimination among black youth and white privilege. Taking viewers on a day in the life of two black people with different skin tones, Mick has a rougher "version" of the video filled with police harassment and prejudice due to his darker color while Supa BWE is pretty much treated like he's white because of his fairer skin. It's an interesting viewpoint on race that isn't brought up in many videos today, and juxtaposed with chilling images of police brutality from the past and the present that show how these acts still go on today. Check out the video above and check out Mick Jenkins's The Water[s] mixtape here.
