ill-esha is one of those names you've surely heard if you've been paying any attention to the changing landscape of American bass music, and Buku is one of those names you're probably under a rock if you haven't heard by now. Put them together and the result is a dark, richly textured night-time roller that is Buku's remix of ill-esha's "Crossroads." A foreboding journey into bass, reminiscent of Daft Punk's TRON-era sound, but with a bounce and intensity all its own. Due out on Gravitas Recordings as part of ill-esha's "Open Heart Surgery" remix compilation, this beauty of a track is just one of a dozen coming our way.
