As the 26th MOBO Awards fast approaches, preparations are well underway in Sheffield. It’s an exciting time for the city, and Yorkshire as a whole, whose deep history of Black music and soundsystem culture will hopefully get more of the recognition it deserves.

With that in mind, one of the region’s proudest soundmen, Toddla T, has gathered together some of Sheffield’s best MCs, poets, singers and rhymers, a mixture of hardened veterans and hungry upstarts, for a celebratory sparring session titled “All Stars Riddim”.

To help represent the city’s grime, rap, trap, wave, R&B and bassline scenes, Teezy’s drafted in Coco (who also assisted on production), Kdot, JXK, Skinz, Deep Green, TeeWhy, Tenn, Nicole Marie, Lavelle and Aziza Jaye, with cameos by Matic Mouth and The 1 Devotion, as well as a spoken word performance from Otis Mensah.

Never one for half measures, it comes with a video directed by Blue Boredom. Press play on the music video up top for a whistlestop tour around Sheffield as each artist takes their moment in the spotlight.
