RV’s not exactly been light on the release schedule in 2022—he’s already given us two singles and a Hoods Hottest freestyle—but it looks like we’re in for even more music in the very near future. Earlier this week, the OFB rapper took to Instagram to announce that he’d finished work on his next mixtape, Inconspicuous, and now we’ve got a new single, “Water Resistant”, a track that RV has been teasing for a while now.
The news means the new project will arrive just over a year on from Rico Vondelle, making this a highly prolific period in his career. And the urgency in his release schedule is surpassed only by his urgency in the booth, practically barking his bars over M1OnTheBeat and Emz Beats’ spartan production.
Naturally, “Water Resistant” comes with visuals and he’s called on Luke FRSH to direct. Fittingly enough, given the tape’s title, we see RV lurking in the shadows and, just like old times, he’s once again masked up. There’s no release date set for the Inconspicuous tape as of yet, but the end of the video does promise that his long-awaited collab with LD, “Kane + Undertaker”, will also be dropping soon.
