Coming off the back of a series of live show triumphs supporting Dan Whitlam, Tamera and 6lack in her hometown, Manchester R&B and soul singer Victoria Jane is just about ready to drop her next project, Demos Vol. 2.
It’s the second Demos collection, following Vol. 1 last year. Ahead of the full release of this new project tomorrow, February 23, as one final primer, she’s lifting the curtain on new track, “Prove It”.
Creatively, the last couple of years have been some of the most creatively fruitful in her life. Demos Vol. 1 was a sketchbook of sorts, brimming with different ideas and clearly a lot of fun to make. Judging by “Prove It”, the follow-up was just as rewarding for her.
Breathy, velvety vocals over a light but smoky instrumental with a far-off sax line floating in the distance. It’s a message to a lover on their last chance, a plea for them to “prove it” and earn her trust finally.
