Premiere: The Last Skeptik Reveals Unsettling Monochrome Video For "The Deli"

Word has it there's also a new album on the way, a follow-up to 2021’s 'you don’t like me but i’m still here', although details remain scarce for now.

Back with his third release in as many months, The Last Skeptik has just lifted the lid on the video for his latest single, “The Deli”.

Produced by Toronto-hailing Mike Gonek, the new track combines an eerily twinkly melody and pared-back beat with a stream-of-consciousness-style delivery. Playing to that, director Nimbo Prime has put together a black-and-white visual that keeps the focus squarely on Skeptik, getting almost too close for comfort with the camera angles.

The new single follows recent drops “One Way Ticket” and “Hard Work Makes You Lucky”, the latter a collab with namesbliss. It also arrives at a particularly busy time for the rapper, producer, DJ, screenwriter and actor—even by his standards—having recently relocated to L.A where he’s been working on soundtracks and various other projects.

Even with all of that on his plate, his output as a solo artist has been ramping up and word has it there’s also an album on the way, a follow-up to 2021’s you don’t like me but i’m still here. While we wait on more details, tap into the new video at the top and then be sure to add “The Deli” to all your playlists.
