Producer and rhymer The Last Skeptik is still justifiably riding high from the release of his most recent album, You Don’t Like Me But I’m Still Here, a 14-track collection of existential angst and frustration shot through with bone-dry wit and laid out across rich and thoughtful productions.

Today he returns with a fresh set of visuals for album extract “Suburbs”, a hazy and hypnotising joint about rolling through the ends under a fog of smoke, weighed down by a mix of paranoia, resentment and bad decisions.

As bleak as that all sounds, the trademark humour’s never far away and a big part of that comes from visual artist Khiaotic. Bringing Skeptik’s tale of suburban dread to eye-popping life, the animated video takes us on a comic book adventure as we follow a severed hand on its increasingly bizarre trip from high streets to tabloid headlines and back again.
