Born in Angola but with roots in Portugal, multi-disciplined artist Pongo has a rich cocktail of musical cultures behind her. Her latest single, "Chora", combines her Portuguese lyrics with the kuduro and bass sounds of Angola and combines them with techno, R&B and dancehall for truly stunning results.
The new single comes from her recent seven-track Baia EP, which is out now, and arrives with a fresh new visual treatment from French videography duo Rush Hour. The raw energy of the single is matched by the eye-popping, mind-expanding effects that make some pretty heavy nods to Salvador Dali and the Dadaist movement.
