Manchester-born DJ and producer Mason Maynard has just put the finishing touches to his new two-track EP, 13th Street, and now it's ready to let loose into the world. Despite his UK heritage, 13th Street is steeped in New York house music history. From the seductive vocal sample at the heart of the track (taken from NYC producers Eddie Cumana and Stuart Bridges' track of the same name with Eva) to the heavy doses of NY garage that surge throughout, both "13th Street" and b-side "Rydim" will take your ears straight into the East Coast rave crucible. In fact, it's such a well-informed little collection, it's difficult to believe that Maynard is just 21 years old.
