kiskadee—aka London-based producer and composer Jack Chown—is gearing up for something special this year. After several years of singles and EPs, Chown is preparing to release his debut album, A Room To Breathe. Ahead of that, he’s sharing “Time”, the first of two album tracks dropping tomorrow.
His debut EP, Home, combined sun-bleached melodies with hypnotising detail and the occasional dreamy vocal to blissful effect, and although much of that is still present in his music, new track “Time” packs more of a dancefloor-focused drive to it.
No doubt we can still expect plenty of the subtlety and intricacy that has always made his productions so absorbing, but the last few years have shown a keenness for exploring new sounds as much as building on the past.
A Room To Breathe arrives in May via Another Rhythm. Ahead of the single’s official release tomorrow, March 29, hit play on “Time” at the top.
