Later this year Bristol six-piece Cousin Kula will release their as-yet-untitled second EP and today they're sharing the latest single from the EP, "Stacked". Having been originally born out of Bristol's jazz scene, Cousin Kula have evolved considerably, taking on a more ethereal indie pop sound with a decent dose of psychedelia thrown in for good measure. The latest single, we're told, was inspired by singer Elliot's Mum going through a divorce, the lyrics offering encouragement to Elliot's mum with words like It'll be alright / You'll find solutions / Yeah you got it stacked / But it's you you're choosing

Speaking with Complex via email, Doug Cave said: "Although it's a song to his mum post divorce, I hear its message as being quite positive and hopeful, like: 'you've got it all stacked up against you, but I back you to come through it all on top.'"
