Mura Masa Returns With New Dancefloor-Ready Gem “Still”

Hit-making UK producer Mura Masa is back with another club-focused single, “still”, following on from double-drop “rise / gimme”, which he released back in October.

After Nadiah’s room-filling, soulful house vocals on “rise” and the choppy breaks of “gimme”, “still” takes us in yet another direction. Sitting a little closer to the kind of choppy, sugar-rush production he gave PinkPantheress’ “Boy’s A Liar”, this one takes vocals from Griff (who you may remember bagged the Rising Star Award at the 2021 Brit Awards) and slices and dices them into something muted but alluring all the same.

As with “rise / gimme”, “still” comes via Mura Masa’s own Pond Recordings label. There’s no word yet on whether these three tracks are part of a larger project, but it is good to hear such a broad palette of dancefloor sounds from him.
