It’s been in the works since at least mid-last year but Ms Banks has finally dropped her new project, Bank Statement.

Not only that, but it also comes complete with the visuals for the project’s third single, “Favourite Girl”. Directed by Teeeezy C, the video opens with some sultry shots of the South London rapper in a luxury apartment, before we head to the skies where a much more angelic Ms Banks can be seen floating in the clouds, draped in gold and finery, before we crashland back to earth.

The EP packs a lot into its nine tracks and it does a good job of showing off Banks’ versatility; there are touches of drill, Afro-pop, R&B, some Latin influences, and we get to hear more of her singing chops as well. Helping her piece all of that together, she’s called on a broad spread of producers, a list which includes Slim, Karma Kid, JD. Reid, KZ, Ebenezer, Magnus Klausen, 2Faded, DA, Rexxie, 4Play, Sammy Soso, and 404Humans.

There aren’t too many features here and that’s hardly a bad thing. Besides Tion Wayne and Eight9FLY’s appearances that we already heard on “Typa Way”, the only remaining guest spot goes to Naira Marley on penultimate track “Party”.

Hit play on the “Favourite Girl” video at the top and then take in Bank Statement below.
