He’s been teasing it out, piece-by-piece since late last year, but Erdington’s crown prince of rap Mowgs has today made good on his promises with his latest project, The Bare Necessities. It’s a big moment for the young rhymer, who’s been hotly tipped for years now, for both his head-turning freestyles and the potential hinted at on the Roll The Dice mixtape some years ago.
Speaking to us back in March, Mowgs said of the tape: “Fuck the hype! Fuck the clout! When people hear it, all they’ll be able to say is: ‘Rah! This is good music. It’s my life story.’ We really came up on the bare necessities.”
