Lord Apex has released The Good Fight, his official debut album built on the groundwork laid by years of mixtapes. The West Londoner first announced the album this time last month, but he’s been revealing tracks from it since June when he released “Blessings”.

Since then, we’ve had “Smokers Lounge” with TeamSESH founder BONES, “Phoenix” with Freddie Gibbs, “The Good Fight” with Madlib and, most recently, “In Your Heart” with Greentea Peng. The LP also features North Carolina rapper MAVI and LA-based singer/songwriter/producer Eyedress.

An adventurous collection, it’s exactly what you’d expect from an artist whose roots are planted just as firmly in the States as they are over here. It’s not just the featured artists that are sourced from beyond the UK; for production, he’s recruited a team that includes DJ Khalil, Angus Luke, Pops & Crooklin, Black Noi$e and Earbuds.

Beginning in mid-March next year, Lord Apex will be heading out on a marathon UK and European tour taking him right through to the end of April when the tour will conclude with a date at KOKO in Camden on April 20.
