This time last month, Krept & Konan came storming back into our lives with “Dat Way”, a big, up-front banger that saw them reunite with “Robbery Remix” co-conspirator Abra Cadabra for the duo’s first bit of new music in three years. That was a welcome enough gift as it was, but now they’re back with an absurdly massive remix featuring stars from the UK, US and JA.

Joining them for this mammoth workout are Abra Cadabra, BackRoad Gee, French Montana, Clavish, Beenie Man, Pa Salieu, Bandokay, Double Lz, K-Trap and DoRoad. It also comes with a video from DON Prod that plays to the 12-strong team’s boundless energy with lightning-fast shots through stairwells and back alleys as they take over the block.

Fans have been quite rightly going nuts for it all and it’s hard not to get caught up in the excitement. The French Montana connection’s a nice touch, not least because of the BX rapper’s appreciation of both LDN and NY drill, and Beenie Man’s appearance is a welcome presence too, arguably stealing the show with his dancehall-drill hybrid.

More than anything, it’s just good to see Pa Salieu back where he belongs: in the spotlight, rapping like his life depends on it. There are, of course, equally impressive showings from Abra Cadabra, K-Trap, and BackRoad Gee, and even with all that going on, younger gen rhymers like Bando, Lz, Clavish and DoRoad still more than hold their own.
