Returning with something a little different from his usual output, Unknown T has teamed up with Knucks for new elegant drill single “Right Hand”.
Although both rappers are known for their laid-back, considered flows, “Right Hand” places Unknown T in a wholly different context. Set against a sparsely arranged, melody-driven backdrop—familiar ground to Knucks—T dials back the energy to let Parker Jazz’s airy melody breathe for an almost hypnotising effect, all before Knucks comes through with his ‘chill rap’ swag.
For the video, Dir.Lx takes the pair through what looks like a solid-gold palace while they share their lovelorn tales of the ones that got away and the importance of valuing that special someone in your life. Neither T or Knucks have proven themselves afraid to dig a little deeper into their feelings, but this one still makes for a refreshing change of pace.
So far, it’s unclear whether this is the first taste of a larger project from either artist, but it’s a welcome surprise all the same. Peep the “Right Hand” visuals above, and be sure to add the song to your playlists.
