Hakkz Puts An End To His Quiet Spell With Jumpy “Drop Music More”

It's been nearly a year since 'Diary Of A Litty Kid' dropped, but it looks as if the talk of his silence hasn't escaped him on this Jersey-inspired banger.

Hakkz has been a little quiet of late—it’s been the thick end of a year since he released his debut EP, Diary Of A Litty Kid—and it looks like the discussions about his absence haven’t escaped him because he’s back to address that very subject with his appropriately-titled new single “Drop Music More”.

He’s not short of energy on this one, setting his flow against a choppy, Jersey Club-inspired rhythm, and he doesn’t seem to agree that he hasn’t put out enough music. “I’m first to wake up and last to go sleep”, he insists, before adding, “Talk is cheap and less is more”. Regardless, the online chatter seems to have fired him up.

The video that dropped alongside the track—directed by Romael—drives that point home even further. In between the shots around the city with Hakkz and his pals, there are plenty of scenes of the Dagenham rhymer in the studio, evidently hard at work. What’s more, the video also wraps up with a quick clip of what we assume is the next release on the horizon, a more chilled cut with Auto-Tuned vocals, that will hopefully be out sooner rather than later.
