We're told Dan Dare has nothing to do with the post-war Eagle Comics, which is a good thing, because that's a reference nobody under the age of 100 is ever going to get. Regardless, the London beatsmith has put together a series of instrumentals under the banner of Food For Thought. The first beat out the gates is a Dizzee-inspired hip-hop beat that, despite being called "Boy In Da Corner", is only subtly inspired by the seminal album, steering well clear of pastiche or flat-out rip-off territory. The aim of the series is to encourage rappers and MCs to take the track on and make it their own. Every day this week, a new track will be premiered right here on Complex, and at the end of the week, you'll be able to download them all for free. So, what are you waiting for? Dust off that mic and start spraying some dirty, dirty bars.
