Black Sherif and Mabel have connected on “Zero”, a new track written to counter the toxic intensity of online discourse with a message of positivity.

Produced by Ghanaian beatsmith Joker Nharnah, “Zero” sets the pair’s contrasting styles against one another as they try to cool things down and push for “zero drama”. The accompanying video, directed by Troy Roscoe, casts Black Sherif and Mabel as conciliators in the middle of a series of escalating rows and brawls.

After releasing his debut album, The Villain I Never Was, Black Sherif has been riding a tidal wave of success all over the world, from his home country Ghana to the UK, Europe and beyond. In the year and a half since then, he’s had a track on the Creed III soundtrack and released a string of successful singles, including the Take Care Of Yourself Blacko two-tracker.

Mabel, on the other hand, had a relatively quiet 2023 following a packed release schedule the year before, which peaked with the release of her latest album, About Last Night…
