I don't exactly remember when I got hip to Moko but I recently followed this singer/songwriter on SoundCloud and holy shit I am happy I did. Today the London-based singer dropped an absolute gem of a track in "Ceremony." The track starts off as an ethereal and soulful slow-burner before hyping up into an absolute drum & bass monster. The way Moko's voice works on this track is nothing less then an anthemic. Now I'm not sure who produced this (unfortunately they aren't listed anywhere) but whoever was behind the boards on this did an amazing job with Moko and the two need to keep making magic like this. "Ceremony" is the follow-up to "Your Love," another amazing soulful tune but of the house variety, and both will be included on Moko's forthcoming Gold EP. If the name Moko sounds familiar to you, you might have caught her 2013 debut EP, Black, or on Chase & Status' 2013 album Brand New Machine with the track "Count On Me." No matter what, you need to be caught up now.
