Journeymen: A History of Rappers With Multiple Label Affiliations
In the past two weeks we've seen some very unexpected moves in the rap game. First, Dame Dash claimed that the chained remained and that Curren$y's debut album would be released on Roc-A-Fella. Then earlier this week, Def Jam announced that it had signed Sheek Louch (the third best rapper in the three-man LOX crew) to a solo deal. The one thing that Curren$y and Sheek have in common is that they've both been through a bunch of labels. Curren$y has been on No Limit, Cash Money, Universal, Amalgam Digital, and now Roc-A-Fella. On the other hand, Sheek started his solo career on Universal, went to D-Block/Koch, then to something called Real Talk Entertainment, and now Def Jam (We're guessing Sheek is probably going through another label before it's all said and done).
