Fresh off of the release of his new album Gangland Landlord earlier this month—his third project this year alone—Mozzy is keeping the rollout going with a video for the smooth, Reece Beats-produced cut “Excuse Me.” The track keeps it all in the L.A. family generational-style, with verse assists from evergreen veteran Too Short and SOB x RBE upstart Yhung T.O, and DCMBR on hook duty. The visual, directed by SUJ, maintains that vibe with the hallmarks of a solid L.A. party cut: gorgeous house, gorgeous women, and endless sunshine.
"I wanted to make something the people can function with inside the club and the radio can gravitate to," Mozzy told Complex via email. "This song has become one of the biggest songs on Gangland Landlord." That mood is indicative of most of Landlord's sound, but much like the rest of the album, it's a bid for radio that doesn't sacrifice Mozzy's core appeal. The video should take it up even further. Watch it above and be sure to stream Gangland Landlord, available on all platforms.
