Trentavious White, better known as Bankroll Fresh, was shot and killed outside of Atlanta’s Street Execs Studios in March. While a suspect hasn’t been named in the rapper’s murder, Vlad TV published an interview with Bankroll’s childhood friend No Plug that suggests his involvement in the incident that evening.

No Plug (a.k.a. Skully) explained that he and Bankroll knew each other since they were 10 years old, saying they were cool for the majority of Bankroll's career. According to No Plug, there was a moment in their friendship where they didn’t like each other because they both dated the same girl, so it sparked some jealously between them. In addition, an incident occurred at a local turkey drive in 2015 in Atlanta’s Ninth Ward, where Bankroll allegedly wasn’t allowed into the neighborhood due to No Plug.

Fast forward to the night of Bankroll’s death on Mar. 5, No Plug went to the studio to meet up with a friend, but recalls Bankroll confronting him about getting driven out of the Ninth Ward. He claims he came up from behind him as a gesture of intimidation. “He was just so stuck on that old situation,” No Plug says. “They said his female friend came straight and told them I was down there, she seen me come in. She said she told them, relayed the message. She came straight down. Approached me with the situation.”

After some back and forth shit talking, No Plug claims he tried to “mush him,” which led to the pair tussling a bit and falling down the stairs. Their mutual friend, C Note, eventually broke it up. A little later, after No Plug leaves the studio, he returns because he dropped his phones in the studio. He claims Bankroll confronted him with 10 to 15 other guys, who were all armed outside of the studio. “He came out with his gun and shit, and shit happened,” No Plug says, pointing out that Bankroll tried to attack him first. “When he came out, [he was] playing with the shit. Just playing with the shit. He fired a shot. And shit happened. We pulled off. He ended up dead. As simple as shit was.”

He reiterates the scenario as this: “He pulled the gun. Shot the motherfucker. Couple shots got fired back. He got hit. I leave. Next thing you know, folks calling me saying, ‘Fresh is dead.’ I call my lawyer … Gucci Mane’s lawyer, get him $10,000, go down to the homicide. Tell Ms. Benton everything, and shit, everything was great. End of story.”

No Plug states that Bankroll shot in the general area of the vehicle he was sitting in. While he doesn’t specifically say he had a gun or shot directly at Bankroll, he says “shots were fired and he was hit,” which could be interpreted as self-defense. He later claims that video surveillance matched his story, and when he was taking in for questioning that it only lasted about "10 minutes."

The controversial statement on Bankroll’s murder has many people up in arms. When Complex reached out to the Atlanta Police Department to inquire about any new developments to his case, they responded with, “The investigation is still ongoing. There were no updates made available to us for release at this time. If any significant developments occur in this homicide investigation, we will advise.”
