Beyoncé put on a performance to remember at this year's MTV Video Music Awards, where the 32-year old singer ran through a full album medley of her release from last December. Beyoncé looked as sharp as ever on stage, giving fans just a taste of what they could have seen from her at the "On the Run" tour alongside Jay Z. He, as well as their daughter, Blue Ivy, were also in attendance for the special moment that was capped off by Beyoncé winning the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.

Suge Knight was taken to the hospital after being shot multiple times at a nightclub.

Suge Knight was shot six times during an MTV VMAs pre-show party hosted by Chris Brown at 1OAK nightclub in West Hollywood. According to TMZ, Suge walked out of the club on his own before a cop spotted him and called an ambulance.
Knight's family released a statement following the incident. "The family of Suge Knight ask that you keep Suge in your prayers and to stray away from the negativity portrayed by the media. Suge is currently resting and has lost a lot of blood, he's human. He's done a lot of things for the community and the culture as a whole so we ask that you respect that.” —Zach Frydenlund

Eminem revealed plans to release a Shady Records compilation album in November.

Eminem will be releasing Shady XV on November 24. The project will be a double-disc compilation album. The first disc will feature a number of Em's greatest hits, and the second will be compiled of new music from a combination of Em, Yelawolf, Slaughterhouse, and more. —Zach Frydenlund

The 31st annual MTV Video Music Awards took place, where Beyoncé performed a stunning 16-minute medley of her latest album. Her performance capped off the two-hour televised event, where Beyoncé was awarded the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. Prince dropped a new record and announced plans to release two albums this year.

Prince is looking to end 2014 with a bang. The pop-icon released his new single "Clouds," and also revealed that he will be dropping two albums on Sept. 29 through Warner Bros. Records. The first, titled Art Official Age, will be a solo effort from Prince, and will feature "Clouds" as the lead single from the project. The second is titled PLECTRUMELECTRUM, and will feature Prince's band, 3rd Eye Girl, for the entire project. Both albums are available for pre-order on iTunes now. —Zach Frydenlund

Young Jeezy was arrested for possession of an assault rifle.

According to TMZ, Young Jeezy was arrested in California for possession of an assault rifle. Jeezy was taken into custody after the police executed a search warrant in connection to a shooting at Wiz Khalifa's show, which left one man dead. Cops found the assault rifle that they believe belongs to Jeezy on his tour bus during the search and brought him into custody, according to the report.
Jeezy was released after paying $1 million bail. —Zach Frydenlund

BET apologized for making fun of Beyoncé and Jay Z's daughter, Blue Ivy.

Everyone is talking about the absolutely adorable images of Blue Ivy during the MTV Video Music Awards, but, as expected, the jokes rolled in soon after. In a segment on BET's 106 & Park titled "Top Six Things Blue Ivy Thought At The VMAs," guest host (and Chris Brown's on-again, off-again girlfriend) Karrueche Tran made a pretty mean-spirited joke about Blue's hair saying (in a joking tone): "I really did wake up like this...because my parents never comb my hair."
Following major backlash from the public, BET's President of Music Programming, Stephen Hill, apologized on Twitter for the remarks made about Blue Ivy on the program. Karrueche also posted an in-depth apology on her Instagram:
Past two days have been extremely draining.. As I geared up for a big day for myself - hosting a live show.. I never expected things to turn out this way.. I apologize to any and everyone who felt offended in any way by the comments made by BET executed through me.. Game took shots at G-Unit once again.

In what seems like a never ending saga, Game is apparently upset with 50 Cent and G-Unit yet again. During a recent show, Game took the time to change up the lyrics to his classic song, "How We Do," and added in "Fuck G-Unit, they can suck my dick," before continuing on with the performance. Though Game and G-Unit have had a number of issues over the years, it's odd he would say this now, because last month on Power 106 he said it was cool the crew was back together again.
Game is currently working on his new album, Blood Money La Familia, which is due out on September 16, and is actually scheduled to go head-to-head with 50's Street King Immortal album if both of their scheduled release dates hold. —Zach Frydenlund
Wiz Khalifa topped the charts with his new album Blacc Hollywood.

Wiz Khalifa's new album, Blacc Hollywood, has done something none of his other albums ever have: debut in the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart. Wiz moved a solid 90,000 units in the first week, which was good enough to knock the Guardians of the Galaxy soundtrack to the second position on the chart after it had occupied the top spot the previous week. —Zach Frydenlund

Joe Budden, who was facing robbery charges for stealing a phone, turned himself into the NYPD.

The NYPD's ongoing "manhunt" for Joe Budden has come to an end after the rapper and reality TV star turned himself into the 34th precinct, according to NBC NewYork. Budden was then charged with robbery in the third degree and grand larceny in the fourth degree. Previously, the NYPD News Twitter account tweeted out that Budden was wanted for stealing a woman's phone, and asked for any assistance in finding him. —Zach Frydenlund
