After a late 2018 delay, Offset is set to release his solo album this month. The first taste of the project—which was originally supposed to drop on Offset's birthday (Dec. 14)—comes in the form of the Metro Boomin-produced "Red Room."

The song previously arrived on streaming services Nov. 30, but was taken down shortly after without explanation. A few days later, Cardi B announced she and Offset were splitting up. Following cheating allegations, public apologies, and reports of possible reconciliation, it appears Offset and Cardi may be back together as they were recently spotted at the 2019 Grammys packing on the PDA.

Offset teased the song's release via Instagram Wednesday evening and gave fans a sense of what to expect from the project. "My first solo project I want to express my life let my fans know a little more about myself and of course some turn up," he wrote.

The video for "Red Room" makes reference to the car crash the rapper got into back in May of 2018 when he wrecked his green Dodge Challenger and was hospitalized with minor injuries. The visuals also depict other aspects of Offset's life, from being a kid, to his run ins with the law, to finding music.

Offset's album will drop Feb. 22, along with an accompanying doc, which the rapper previewed on Grammy night. The clip also includes footage of Cardi B giving birth to their daughter, Kulture.

The release of Offset's project will finish out the plan Migos and QC put in place for each member of the ATL trio to drop a solo offering. Quavo's Quavo Huncho came out in October, while Takeoff's The Last Rocket arrived in November.
