Pharrell Performed "Happy" and "Marilyn Monroe" on "Saturday Night Live"

Pharrell was the musical guest for tonight's episode of "Saturday Night Live" and performed "Happy."

Pharrell took the stage tonight on his birthday as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live. The hit-maker performed "Happy," his chart-topping single. Backed by a group of children break-dancers, it was a spirited rendition. Later on in the show, he performed "Marilyn Monroe." For this performance, he was backed by an all-female string section. At the helm of the orchestra was composer and producer Hans Zimmer.

Pharrell also made a cameo in a sketch towards the end of the show. In it, he had to pick a final backup singer for his tour between a pair of twins who tried out together. It leads to a surprising selection.
