Ever since we heard From The Westside, With Love, the Leimert Parks-raised Dom Kennedy has been under our radar as one of several rising talents coming out of L.A. in recent years. His laid-back flow over calm piano keys on BrandUn DeShay-produced "Locals Only" was one of our favorite cuts off his mixtape, and this Bryant Robinson-directed video seems like the best visual we've seen from the rapper thus far. In the post-ringtone era, poetically introspective songs like this---with Okayplayer-suitable video aesthetics---feel au courant. Watch the European art cinema-inspired footage above.
