Watch: Robin Banks Tours His Hood in New Video for "Slums"

The Toronto rapper is back with a banger.

Robin Banks is back and better than ever. The Toronto rapper has been steadily dropping heat for the last few years now, but his latest efforts have been consistent levels up on past material. "Slums" is the latest example of Banks' evolution, and sees the emcee deliver melodic and introspective bars over crisp and refined trap production courtesy of frequent collaborator, Motivatedbeatz.

"Slums", which was given a visual treatment this week, is another welcome track from the Driftwood artist who just last spring was victim to a brutal shooting that left him in serious condition. The awful attack forced Banks to a hospital bed and seemingly put his life and burgeoning music career in jeopardy. Thankfully, Robin proved resilient and returned to the studio shortly after to cook up memorable cuts like "Come Thru" and "Bazerk".

Like the latter track, Robin has again crafted a worthy video that showcases and celebrates his crew and block. Director 2tab handled cinematography for "Slums" and came through with a gritty and realist movie dedicated to the North York neighborhood.
