Manager Says Lil Pump Has Already Served His Jail Time

Dooney Battle did not say when Pump completed his sentence or how long he was behind bars.

Lil Pump won’t be locked up anytime soon—at least, that’s what his manager claims.

In the rapper’s Billboard 21-Under-21 profile, Dooney Battle revealed Pump has already completed his jail sentence stemming from a parole violation back in August. This information comes as a surprise to fans.

Battle kept details vague, and did not reveal when or for how long Pump was placed behind bars. Many assumed the 18-year-old MC was still facing jail time, as he claimed his sentence would span multiple months. Though he did go MIA for a week in September, he re-emerged a couple of weeks ago for a Saturday Night Live performance with Kanye West.

“Y'all seen what happened in Miami," Pump told his fans on social media in early September. "I got arrested...I'm on probation in LA. I violated my PO, so I've got to go in and do a couple months. I've got some crazy ass shit dropping while in there."

If Pump truly completed his jail time, it’s unclear why he chose to completely scrap the U.S. leg of his Harverd Dropout Tour. Furthermore, why did Pump’s good friend and collaborator Smokepurpp recently claim the “Gucci Gang” rapper had yet to finish his jail sentence? “He has to go back, but he will be out soon though,” Purpp announced on Instagram.

The Los Angeles County Probation Department did not return Billboard’s request for comment.

The Billboard story also touches on his purported collaboration with Taylor Swift and the creation of “I Like It,” his hit single with Kanye.
