G Herbo Blasts Kanye Over Slavery Comments: 'He a Traitor'

The Chicago rapper is one of many celebrities who have criticized 'Ye for suggesting slavery was a choice.

Kanye West’s slavery comments have understandably pissed a lot of people off. Everyone from Will.i.am and Don Lemon to Ava DuVernay and Chris Brown have expressed their disappointment with the multi-hyphenate after he suggested American slavery was a “choice.” Now, fellow Chicago rapper G Herbo is weighing in on the controversy. And let’s just say he didn’t hold any punches.

The Humble Beast MC went to Instagram with a photo of Kanye wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat made popular by Donald Trump. The image also featured the words: “Kanye says slavery was ‘a choice.’ So is buying his music or clothing. Choose wisely.’

Herbo captioned the post with a series of scathing insults, including: "HE A BITCH!! HE A TRAITOR JUDAS ASS KOON ASS GEECHI!!"

Kanye made the questionable statements during Tuesday’s broadcast of TMZ Live.

“When you hear about slavery for 400 years … for 400 years? That sounds like a choice,” he said during the program. “Like, you were there for 400 years and it's all of y'all? It's like we're mentally imprisoned. I like the word 'imprisoned' because slavery goes too directly to the idea of blacks. So prison is something that unites us as one race. Blacks and whites being one race. That we're the human race.”

‘Ye attempted to clarify his comments on Twitter, insisting he knew slaves weren’t “shackled and put on a boat by free will.”

“My point is for us to have stayed in that position even though the numbers were on our side means that we were mentally enslaved,” he wrote to his millions of followers. “The reason why I brought up the 400 years point is because we can't be mentally imprisoned for another 400 years. We need free thought now. Even the statement was an example of free thought It was just an idea.”
