Before he shares his third studio album, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie has released the Lil Uzi Vert-assisted track “Reply.”

The single, which fans have been anticipating for weeks, finds the rappers reflecting on the women in their lives as well as seemingly one-sided relationships.

“If I write you girl, will you reply?” Uzi raps on the opening verse. “And I can see all the lies in your eyes/But I'm no different, selling dreams for tonight/Just so I could have my way, rubbin' on your thighs/In the morning, go back home because I do not have no ties.”

The song is one of many collaborative joints A Boogie and Lil Uzi reportedly recorded earlier this year. A Boogie spoke about working with the Philly rapper in an August interview with Billboard, when he explained why their chemistry was so strong.

“It's the same thing that me and every other artist I get along with got: It's that real genuine shit when you link up with an artist,” he said. “Fuck the cameras. When it's off-cameras, that's when it's real … This shit we talking about is our real thoughts and shit. We be talking about shit that we go through.”

The track will appear on A Boogie’s upcoming project, Artist 2.0. The rapper teased the effort earlier this month on social media, and revealed his plans to go on a hiatus following the album’s release, which has yet to be announced.

"This might be my last project for a while," he wrote on Instagram. "I want to take a break from music after Artist 2.0 tour is over. There's a lot of things I wanna do in life and it's moving too fast for me to focus on everything at once."

A Boogie has remained busy throughout 2019, dropping collaborative joints with the likes of Summer Walker, Lil Tecca, and Tee Grizzley, as well as performing at events such as Rolling Loud New York and ComplexCon.
