Erykah Badu isn't here for the rumors of a romance between herself and Kendrick Lamar, and she let everyone know it Monday morning on Twitter. "Kendrick ain't called me since y'all made up some shit about us being in the trailer makin out," she wrote, referencing the pair's meeting at the 2013 BET Awards (their performance is above). She went on to explain what really happened: "Sound check, performance, photo opps, ghost," she said. "He was super shy."
One fan apparently wasn't buying it, and tried to call her out. The fan noted Kendrick's "No More Parties In L.A." lyrics, where he says "Well cutie, I love your bougie booty/Come Erykah Badu me/Hell, let's make a movie." According to Badu, the line was much more innocent than it appeared. "Let me educate you real fast lil mama," she replied. "It's not always betwixx the thihs... Sometimes it's between the ears."
From the sound of it, Badu is shutting down the romance rumors once and for all. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like Badu and Lamar are destined to be hip-hop's next power couple.
