Nipsey Hussle had an incredible year in 2018, dropping his long-awaited critically acclaimed debut album Victory Lap and subsequently receiving a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Album for the release. The proudly West Coast rapper is now giving the title track of the record, which features Stacy Barthe, a lavish visual treatment to close out the year.

The Sergio-directed clip shows Nipsey having some fun down in Tulum, Mexico. As far as ways to live out the name of the track itself, Nipsey couldn't have offered up a better visual.

Recently, Nipsey sat down for an interview with Rolling Stone to talk about his Grammy nomination. During the talk, he said that "2018 will go down as one of the best years in rap music." He continued, "And to be nominated as one of the rap albums in 2018? This was a dope year for rap. Everybody, whatever it is that they do, they delivered it on a high level. Look at Pusha-T. He makes a certain type of rap music. DAYTONA is that on the highest level."

Just before Christmas, Nipsey dropped a new track with "Perfect Timing." To thank his hometown of Los Angeles, Nipsey revealed this year that he was planning to build basketball courts in his old neighborhood. "Basketball and Crenshaw—you can’t separate them," he told The Players Tribune. "It’s all part of the culture that made me. Same way hip-hop is. Same way Impalas and El Caminos and El Dorados is. The Rollin 60s. Purple Kush. Death Row Records. Same way palm trees is, you know what I’m saying? It’s all part of the culture I was steeped in."
