After making his debut with the promising Bas-featuring single “Show Me Something,” Baltimore artist Malik Moses has dropped the cinematic video.

Directed by Gabe Hostetler, the visual—premiering above—glides through the city as two lovers face a rift of sorts. By the time Bas shows up for his guest verse, the video switches gears as he and a woman he undoubtedly has history with walks in. Utilizing some beautifully shot drone footage, literally flying out one window and into another, the clip perfectly conveys the longing in the song.

“Show Me Something’ is me flipping a conversation I had with an ex,” Moses told Complex of the track and its new video. “Me internalizing her feelings and putting them out through my perspective. And the video tries to capture the feeling of the lyrics. The feeling of knowing you’re losing someone before it happens and trying to bring them back.”

Back in November, Grammy Award-winning audio engineer Derek “MixedByAli” Ali announced the launch of his record label NoName Recordings. Ali, a longtime collaborator with Kendrick Lamar among others, also announced the signing of Malik upon revealing his plans for the label.

“I’ve been blessed with a career that has given me the opportunity to be involved in some of the biggest records released over the past decade,” Ali said in a statement. “With this new venture, we are now enabled to be even more hands-on with developing and curating the new sounds of tomorrow.”
