Music executive Julie Greenwald has been announced as chairman and CEO of the newly created Atlantic Music Group, which will oversee Atlantic Records, 300 Elektra Entertainment, and their various imprints.

The five-time recipient of Billboard’s Women in Music Executive of the Year, Greenwald has helped foster some of Atlantic’s most successful acts of the past two decades. She’s worked with everyone from Cardi B and Coldplay, to Lizzo and Bruno Mars. Greenwald will continue to lead Atlantic Records itself alongside Craig Kallman, but now her role will encompass more of the Warner Music Group-owned family of labels.

“I love nurturing the next generation, contributing to culture, and building vibrant communities for our artists. We have the most fantastic talent at Atlantic, 300, and Elektra, from superstars to baby bands, from expert execs to young people just starting out in the business,” Greenwald saids in a statement. “I want them all to feel that this is the best place to do bold, brave, creative work, and build real careers. I’m so proud to be in it with them, shoulder to shoulder, every day. I’d like to thank Craig and Kevin for being my partners, Max and Steve for their leadership, and our allies across the industry who help us bring great music to the world.”

Atlantic Music Group will also oversee ATCO, Big Beat, Canvasback, and 300 Elektra Entertainment, which encompasses the 300, Elektra, Fueled By Ramen, Low Country Sound, DTA, Public Consumption, and Roadrunner imprints. “Julie’s strengths, combined with Craig’s extraordinary creative talents, make them one of the outstanding partnerships in the history of music,” added Max Lousada, CEO of Recorded Music for Warner Music Group. “We’re all extremely fortunate to be working with them as they write the next great chapter in the Atlantic story.”

Greenwald first got her start in the music industry at Def Jam Records in 1992. She later joined Atlantic Records as President in 2004, and helped rebuild the label’s brand.
