Libya-born, Albanian-raised Brooklyn rapper Gashi has been killing it with a slew of impressive singles for a while now, but his latest could be the one that could take him to the next level.

Accompanied by producers Cirkut and DJ Snake as well French Montana, who drops in for a guest verse, Gashi's new single "Creep On Me" sees him going for a more pop-oriented sound and pulling it off flawlessly.

Influenced by the sounds of Afropop, Gashi mostly avoids rapping for the summery single. Speaking in a press release, he explained, "This is the first song I've ever done with Cirkut who's made such incredible pop records like 'Starboy' for The Weeknd. One night I stopped by his house in LA to record and this was the first song we worked on and it effortlessly came together to sound the way it does."

While this is the first time he's worked with Cirkut, it isn't the first time he's been on a track with DJ Snake. In fact, DJ Snake previously collaborated with Gashi before on the song "Oh Me Oh MY," which also featured Travis Scott and Migos.

As for what prompted the shift to a more pop-friendly sound, Gashi simply said, "I make great music that's authentic to me wherever I'm at in life."
