Not long after teasing the arrival of his long-anticipated post-prison album Ready to Live, Bobby Shmurda has shared his new single “Hoochie Daddy.”

The now independent rapper has been sharing a steady stream of new tracks ever since he exited his record deal with Epic, and his latest release sees him experimenting with a more fast-paced sound. With a beat that sounds tailormade for elaborate dance routines, “Hoochie Daddy” is a hard-hitting track that’s arrived just in time for the summer months.

In a recent interview with HotNewHipHop, Shmurda indicated that his record will arrive next month. He also said that it will feature appearances from DaBaby, Rich the Kid, Meek Mill, Rowdy Rebel, 42 Dugg, and Key Glock among others. Outside of the features and the title, however, the rapper has yet to release much info regarding the record. It’s also not clear if “Hoochie Daddy” will appear on Ready to Live.

In the same interview, Shmurda cautioned rappers to be “mindful” of their lyrical content despite the passing of New York’s “Rap Music on Trial” bill.
