Wale has officially unleashed the music video for his new J. Cole collab “Poke It Out.”

The duo released the single, which we featured in our Best New Music roundup, last week. And now they’ve got a whip-riding, bonfire-completed visual to match the high-energy team-up.

The Cool & Dre-produced track—which pays homage to Q-Tip’s 1999 song “Vivrant Thing” by using the same sample—marks the first time the duo has teamed up on wax in three years. The last time Cole and Wale graced a song together was on Wale’s “My Boy” off the 2018 EP Free Lunch.

This isn’t Wale’s only offering in recent months, either. In August, he linked with Maxo Kream and Yella Beezy for “Down South,” and before that he shared Chris Brown collab “Angles.” With the string of new tracks racking up streams, Wale’s seventh studio album Folarin 2 is set for a Oct. 22 release date via MMG/Warner Records.

As for Cole, the Dreamville boss recently announced that the popular Dreamville Festival is expanding to two days in 2022. The event will be taking place April 2 and April 3 at Raleigh’s Dorothea Dix Park, with a portion of the proceeds going toward both the Dreamville Foundation and the Dorothea Dix Park Conservancy.
