Barry Weiss has been named the new Chairman & CEO of Island Def Jam and Universal Motown Republic Group earlier today.
Weiss served as Chairman & CEO of RCA/Jive Label Group from 2008 to 2011 where he oversaw a roster that included Justin Timberlake, Jamie Foxx, Kelly Clarkson, Britney Spears, Kings of Leon and Jennifer Hudson.
