Taken from his fifth album, A Work Of Heart (out now on Jazz re:freshed) comes the premiere of the video for "Somehow Somewhere Someway" by Ty, featuring Umar Bin Hassan of NY collective The Last Poets. Mixed with animation, the song manifests the energy of early hip-hop while enforcing the message of self-belief, engaging with the audience in an effective way. A Work Of Art, predominantly produced and written by Ty, uses humour and insight to tackle subject matter ranging from Brixton, depression, poverty, and racism, to philosophical musings on life. Features include Durrty Goodz (now known as OG Rootz), Tall Black Guy and Wayne Francis from United Vibrations, as well as the aforementioned Umar Bin Hassan, whose bars are in the video above.
