Lucas Frota & Blakkat "Alone"

At just 21 years old, Brazilian-born, LA-based Lucas Frota is something of a prodigy. By the age of 12 he'd already become a regular fixture behind the decks at clubs in Rio de Janeiro and it wasn't long before he was being hit up to remixes for globally-revered hitmakers such as Kerri Chandler, Armand Van Helden, and even Snoop Dogg.

Frota's current output draws heavily on his Brazillian heritage, fusing that with a minimal tech-house sound for his own take on Baile funk. Joining him on his latest release, "Alone", is fellow LA club stalwart Mark 'Blakkat' Bell, whose endless back catalogue includes remixes for New Order, A Tribe Called Quest, Wyclef Jean and countless others. Together, they've brought the best of both of their worlds, best exemplified on this rolling seven-minute dub version that'll have you crying out for the end of lockdown.

Take it all in below ahead of the EP's official release on July 16 via Circus Recordings.
