Cardi B doesn’t believe all the hype surrounding coronavirus.

In an Instagram Live session from this weekend, the rapper went on a rant about what she learned about China's response to the virus. It also seemed like she was leaning into some conspiratorial theories surrounding the pandemic.

“Y’all seen that Wuhan, China right now, the coronavirus cases is going lower. But that’s because when they quarantined people, they were spraying shit in the streets,” she explained. “They were knocking on each door, taking people’s temperature and everybody that had the coronavirus, they were like doing strict quarantine on them.”

“While we’re quarantining at home, what is the government doing? Is y’all spraying shit in the streets? Is y'all gonna start taking our temperatures?” she added. “How am I supposed to know I have the coronavirus?”

She then turned her attention to some NBA players who have said they have coronavirus but aren’t showing any symptoms. “[The government] not really saying what it is. Tell me what it is and what it ain’t. I’m starting to feel like y’all n***as is paying n***as to say that they got it. If y’all are… pay me too.”

During another part of the IG Live session, she said, “I wanna expose n***a so much. But I don’t wanna say anything. You know why I ain’t gonna expose nobody? Because I don’t know when I’m gonna get sick. And if I get sick and I be talkin’ my shit, you know motherfuckers are gonna be like, ‘Ain’t this the bitch that was talkin’ shit.’”

She also took to Twitter to school a follower on China’s quarantine practices during its outbreak.

In other Cardi news, the remix of Cardi’s viral rant about COVID-19 is set to hit the Billboard charts. “Coronavirus (Remix),” created and produced by DJ iMarkkeyz, is looking at a debut on multiple charts next week, including Digital Song Sales tally and R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales. Nielsen Music/MRC Data reports that the song has sold over 3,000 downloads in the US.

Earlier this week, she jokingly asked for royalties from the song but has steadily been promoting the single on her social channels. Billboard reports that Cardi wants to contribute proceeds from sales and streams to charity, with iMarkkeyz tweeting to her that that was his “goal.”
